Program

The preschool provides a nurturing Christ-centered learning environment for children starting at 3 years of age. Every child is given the opportunity to flourish developmentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. All of our loving staff members have training in Early Childhood Education. We promote curiosity and creativity while building our young learner’s self-esteem.

 

Our core program hours are from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm with 5-day, 3-day, and 2-day options. Wrap-around care is available starting from 7:15 am to as late as 5:30 pm.

Preschool Outline

Thank you so much for your interest in the preschool at The King's Academy. We are so thankful for how God will help lead and bless our school this year.

 

We believe in developing the whole child not only through a set curriculum but also through a “play based” approach. Our curriculum sets the goals for the language, literacy, handwriting, reading and math components. We also incorporate science, which includes sensory and discovery experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Our spiritual curriculum is based on the Concordia Publishing House.

 

The social and emotional component of our curriculum is Love and Logic. It helps a child grow daily in an environment that ensures they feel safe and loved. With these goals met, a child is able to reach an executive, cooperative state-the most effective way children learn. We provide several opportunities throughout our children’s day to connect with them one-on-one. This helps to validate how important they are to us.

 

It is our desire for our children to see our school as a “school family”. We work daily to ensure the children and their families feel this connection. It is a priority to us that we provide opportunities for our families to come together to grow relationships and build academic resources for at-home connections.
